Global backbone
Infrastructure we own, operate and answer for
VOLTA does not resell another carrier's switch. We run our own signalling and media estate across seven core regions, interlinked over protected 100 GbE waves and diverse subsea capacity.

Distributed softswitch fabric
Class-4 switching is distributed across nine sites in an active-active mesh. A full site loss re-homes registrations and in-progress signalling to the nearest cluster in under 900 milliseconds.
Media handling at the edge
SBCs terminate SIP/TLS and SRTP as close to the originating operator as possible, transcoding G.711, G.729, AMR-WB, Opus and EVS in hardware to keep media path latency below 60 ms intra-region.
Least-cost routing with quality gates
The routing engine recomputes per-prefix decisions every 60 seconds. Any vendor breaching its ASR, ACD or PDD floor is suppressed automatically before a customer notices degradation.
Security and fraud posture
STIR/SHAKEN attestation for North American traffic, SIM-box and traffic-pumping detection models, per-customer velocity limits and continuous DDoS scrubbing on all signalling ranges.
