Built in phases, route by route
Phase 01
Founded in Riga
A small group of engineers from the Latvian incumbent's core network team incorporate VOLTA to resell surplus Baltic transit capacity, switching the first international minute on a single softswitch pair.
Phase 02
First tier-1 interconnect
VOLTA signs bilateral agreements with three European incumbents and deploys its first owned softswitch cluster in Frankfurt.
Phase 03
Enterprise division
SIP trunking and hosted PBX launch for Baltic and Nordic enterprises, adding 14,000 seats within the first eighteen months of service.
Phase 04
Middle East and APAC
Regional switches go live in Dubai and Singapore, with IPX interconnect opening 60 new mobile destinations.
Phase 05
VOLTA Fabric
The programmable voice and messaging platform is released, exposing the carrier network directly to developers through public APIs.
Phase 06
Eighteen billion minutes
VOLTA crosses 18 billion annually carried minutes and completes ISO 27001 recertification across all nine points of presence.
